08 of April’s Best - part 1
Posted on April 29, 2008
This month’s best of series I am going to split into two different articles to allow me to tell everyone a little bit more about the authors of the featured blog posts. I’m only going to feature one of my articles, so there is more room for me to share some other bloggers with you. I hope you will take the time to check out each one and be sure to give them a comment if you enjoy it.
Favorites from the Juice
1. Why You and Your Grandmother Should be Stumbling! - is my favorite article from April because I share with everyone about the great web site and social networking site of Stumble Upon. I have found so many great articles and people through Stumble Upon, that I really wanted everyone to know about it and use it. Stumbling is so much more effective than using search engines and even gets more so the more friends that you have use it. If you have never heard of or used Stumble Upon, be sure to give it a read!
Favorites from around the blogosphere
2. 5 Reasons You Should Treat Your Partner Like Your Dog by Jonathan at Jonathan Mead. This article first caught my eye because of the title. A million things ran through my head when I read it. But the article makes the old cliche of "You can’t judge a book by it’s cover" ring true. This is an excellent article about how to treat a fellow person in a relationship. It goes into details about acceptance, love, and compassion and is a must read for anyone with a pet. You will definitely see Jonathan’s reasoning and more than likely agree with it. One thing that upsets me on this subject is the fact that some people do treat their pets with more love, acceptance, compassion, and respect then their fellow human beings. You can see in the World today that someone the kicks a pet (I do not condone this!) will many times get a harsher punishment then someone that assaults another person. Our judicial system could sure use a little work!
About Jonathan
Jonathan is a very passionate person, you can tell through out his writings as Jonathan Mead that he is a true believer in personal development and personal discovery. I found Jonathan through Stumble Upon and have really enjoyed his blog for the past few weeks since discovering it. He is a talented writer with a lot of evident passion about his subjects. He started his blog so that he could express his passion about personal development and share his thoughts and breakthroughs on his own personal growth. One of my favorite things that I discovers about Jonathan is on his about page:
Jonathan’s goal "….is to bring peace and clarity to as many lives as possible. May we all awaken the unlimited potential within ourselves, so that we may inspire others."
You can find out more about him on his about page and also be sure to check out what he is up to on the following pages:
3. Million Dollar Body Challenge #1 by Aaron from Today is the Day. This is an amazing challenge that I have so much respect for. Today so many people are out of shape and make hundreds of excuses as to why they do not exercise and get healthier. With this challenge the major reason, as Aaron states:
"They are not motivated enough to do what it takes to attain the level of fitness that they desire."
will be eliminated. The challenge is a great motivator and also will have plenty of personal and group help to keep you going. They are giving away a ton of prizes and will truly transform many lives.
About Aaron
I am a huge fan of Aaron’s and have been since discovering him through a fellow blogger a few months ago. Aaron constantly is updating his content on his blog and is a valuable resource for inspiring and well thought out stories. He is also the founder of Personal Development Partners and very instrumental in the Million Dollar Body Challenge. He lives in central Florida and his goal is YOUR success! You can definitely get that vibe from all his helpful content and information.
You can find out more about him on his about page and also be sure to check out what he is up to on the following pages:
4. Stephen Hopson Interview with Wendy Piersall, Sparkplugging (formerly called emoms at home), Part I of II and Part II of II by Stephen of Adversity University. This was an amazing interview, which in my opinion Stephen is known for. I never new of Wendy Piersall before and now I know a whole wealth of information. My favorite part of the interview was the question:
Question: Being deaf, I am always curious to know which sounds other people love and hate to hear. Tell us a sound you absolutely adore and a sound you detest.
Answer: What an interesting question - I’ve never been asked that before! I’d have to say that tickling my kids and hearing them laugh is my most favorite thing to hear in the world. And probably what I hate hearing the most is when my kids fight with each other or with their dad. My whole body cringes and I feel it everywhere. Yugh - I hate even thinking about it.
This question may not mean much to many of you out there, but if you have children you know exactly what Wendy is talking about. My little boy (20 months) has the most amazing giggle and smile. If you don’t just light up after seeing or hearing it something is definitely wrong. Keep up the amazing interviews Stephen, you have a great talent for it!
About Stephen
Stephen has one of the best about pages that I have ever read, so I will not spend to much time writing about him. You can check out his about page and the great video on it to find out all you need. He is an amazing person that is a "must get to know"!

Brad:
What a gift - thank you for the write up about my interview with Wendy. I’m excited because this weekend will be the first time I’ll have an opportunity to meet her in person for the first time at SOBCon08.
Are you going? I’ll be there starting tomorrow all the way through Tuesday.
Hope to meet you there at SOBCon. If not, then maybe one of these days. Thanks again for the link love. I appreciate it much Brad.
