I started taking mona vie after my transplants. The Drs. oked it. I had gout so bad I could barely walk. I had hot flashes from the pills I had to take, and my hair was down to about 10 strands. I started taking 2 ounces in am, and 2 ounces pm. Within 4 days I could walk. In a while I noticed my hair quit falling out, and no hot flashes. After all this products clam to fame is Acai berry which i use myself and is a very good antioxidant but its most effective when derived from a freeze dried process in a powder or pill form. From what i have read any other form of processing will greatly lessen the effects of Acai berry. In my opinion MonaVie is way over priced and you can get pure freeze dried Acai berry in pill or powder form for half the cost of MonaVie.
I wanted nothing more than to believe these claims. Unfortunately, the more I researched this product, the more I became disappointed and skeptical. I purchase my acai berry products from the only trusty worthy manufacturer I’m aware of; Sambazon. Monavie not only neglects to list the percentages of each fruit used in their product, but does not mention the process by which they extract and or process the juice. I derived on my own research that MonaVie does not purchase their acai berry juice from Sambazon, the only reputable manufacturer known to use freeze dried acai berry juice in all of their acai berry products. In addition to the contents, I think it questionable that they use a pyramid scheme in order to sell their product instead of through reputable retailers. Why not be able to walk into your local vitamin shop or health food store and pick up a bottle for a reasonable price??? Very shady.
Tom, thank you for your comments on the article. I just wanted to clear up a few things. Monavie uses a patented freeze-drying process in its blend. You are correct in stating that other processes lessen the nutritional benefits of the acai. Monavie uses local, native harvesting teams to manually harvest the acai berries from the rain forest. Monavie is not only harvesting in an ecologically friendly manner, but is also providing long term economic benefits to the local communities. Monavie’s success and nutritional benefits are not only derived from the acai though, it is the blend of these 19 “super fruits” that is the secret and why many people see results.
John, thank you for the dialog. Sambazon is a very reputable company, but they are not the only one out there. Monavie is the Worlds largest exporter of acai berries from Brazil. Monavie harvest the berries in an environmental and economically friendly way to help the local areas. Monavie also keeps the blend a “trade secret” just as Coca-cola keeps its blend a secret. Also Monavie is not a pyramid scheme, it is uses a multi-level marketing distribution system. There is a huge difference and you should investigate a bit further before throwing claims of “schemes” out to the public. I would like to respectfully reply to your comments and help clear up any confusion and/or misconceptions. First of all… the product… MonaVie is a proprietary blend. MonaVie’s success has obviously generated many “knock-offs” along with an increased awareness of the Acai berry due to the fact that the product is providing real results for people’s health. That being said, MonaVie does not heal anyone of any disease. MonaVie is simply the most nutritious fruit blend on the market today. MonaVie is a debt free company that is setting records every month in the direct selling industry (what you refer to as a pyramid scheme). The fact is, due to the way MonaVie is set up, average people have the ability to: 1. create an awareness about nutrition and health by sharing this product with their friends and family and, 2. earn a substantial amount of money and create the lifestyle they may have only dreamed of working in corporate America. That being said, this does not come easily. There is work to be put in if you plan on being rewarded financially, but the opportunity to earn a residual income based on your efforts is available to everyone. I encourage you to look into the reality of network marketing before making false claims of “pyramid schemes”.

This is not meant as a sales pitch because network marketing is not for everyone and I know that. However, MonaVie, as a product and as a business, has changed the lives of many people I know including my own! This is a very special company to me. I realize there are probably other great Acai products out there. I have nothing negative to say about any of them. My 78 year old mother was diagnosed last year with heart failure, diabetes and kidney failure. Also she has been fighting high cholesterol for years. She started on Mona Vie in September. 3 ounces in the a.m. and 3 ounces in the evening. She was just told by her cardiologist that her heart muscle is now pumping at a normal level whereas last year it was only functioning at 20%. Also the lab work she had this week shows that she no longer has diabetes, no longer has kidney failure and her cholesterol is now normal. Her Internist wouldn’t let my mother leave the office until she told her what in the world she had been taking. Of course my mom told her MONA VIE. This is my experience with the Mona Vie Health drink.
I have been burdened with chronic back pain for 12 years and was diagnosed in November, 1995 with spinal stenosis, spinal scoliosis, osteoarthritis along with other spinal problems. I was forced to medically retire from my teaching career because I could not perform simple tasks on a daily basis. I was often bedridden due to severe crippling pain. I was devastated because I was forced to give up a career that I dearly loved at the age of thirty-five. Many bouts of depression ensued. I have lived with various levels of crippling pain for 12 years.

I am also a MonaVie distributor, but we have to be careful about product claims about MonaVie. If you have been with this business long enough, you will find some amazing results from the people that you share the juice with. Some of it seems over the top and unbelievable. The average person is going to interpret these claims as a scam, especially when it seems utterly life changing. Be careful. I recommend just trying the juice for a month or two and to see how you feel.
What we need to convey is that this is a juice made from some pretty incredible fruits. Most of these fruits are not harvested here in the US where we have overburdened our soil, and have fertilized them with chemicals. We get many of our fruits from pristine locations where they have grown either wild or without chemical stimulation. The nutritional content of our U.S. fruits and vegetables has declined considerably because of corporate farming practices.
Talk to people who juice their own organic produce, ask them how they feel. This product is like juicing, but without the mess or the expense. They say that 4 ounces of MonaVie is equivalent to more than 10 servings of fruit a day. I bought the equivalent amount of fruit and it cost me more than $15. 4 people in my family, that is $60 a day for fruits and vegies. YIKes!
Remember that fruits and vegies are a natural anti-inflammatory. Home juicers will tell you their aches and pains, asthma, cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes, skin conditions and many other ailments have improved or completely cleared up. That is how we are supposed to eat and that is how our bodies are supposed to work. It isn’t rocket science or voo-doo medicine, it is simply good nutrition that Americans haven’t been accustomed to for 50+ years. I am going to be honest and straight forward here - if your product were as good, you wouldn’t be on a MonaVie blog telling us ours stinks.
