Love and Embrace Change
Posted on October 29, 2007
Change is every where around us and one constant that we will always be presented with. Since change is constant in our lives everyone must learn, practice, and master the art of dealing with change. Many people fear change because they get comfortable in their routine or lives and think that change will be in some way bad. Change comes in many forms and is what we make of it. Change can be “bad” if we think of it and make it that way, but change can also be “good” if we learn how to accept and welcome it. Mastering and accepting change is not an easy or quick thing to learn, but it is a must have skill to fully succeed in life.
Why do we think change is “bad”?
The most debilitating and crippling fear that many of us have is the fear to change. The “comfort zone” is so warm and cozy that many of us do not want to risk the chance to have any thing better even if you are not completely happy and fulfilled with your current circumstances. For some reason most people think of change as bad even though almost everything in our lives is a result of change, good and bad. Here are a few common changes that are perceived to be bad and how we could look at the change in a more positive manner.
- You get moved into a job that you really do not enjoy.
- Use the change to enhance and improve your skills to allow you to move into a role you enjoy. Strive to turn every situation into a learning experience and remember that you will not always be where you are.
- You get married and move away from your life long home.
- Use the change to start a new live in a fresh area. You will always have the true friends that you have made and will now have the opportunity to meet new and exciting people.
- A child or parent dies unexpectedly.
- Use the unexpected change to reflect and remember how wonderful and precious life really is. Realize how little time we all have and fill your life with positive ideas, people, and conversation. Remember all the good times that were spent with the lost one, then reinvent and rededicate your life to making things better.
How to cope with, love, and embrace change?
Since change is always happening in our lives, we need to learn how to embrace and love it. Release your fear of change and your life will become much more productive and enjoyable. The way you “see” change is entirely up to you! Repeat the following phrases to help you accept, embrace, and love change:
- I know all good things come from change.
- I release my fear of change and embrace it.
- I will learn from this change in my life.
- I will be positive about change.
- I will grow personally from change in my life.
- I will expect and look for change.
- I am prepared to change.
- I LOVE change!!!
Once you accept, anticipate, and embrace change you allow yourself to prepare and deal with change in a positive way. We are all born with the power to choose. Choose to have a positive attitude. Choose to release self imposed fears. Choose to be prepared. Choose to love and embrace change!
