In the World today there is far too much negativity. Every time you read, listen, or watch main stream media you are bombarded by negative thoughts and news. You rarely hear about the million of positive happenings around the World. You do not here about how much food is given out daily, you don’t hear about medical professionals donating there time to help people, you don’t hear about the child that helps a little bird back into the nest, you don’t hear about the everyday, every moment, simple miracles that occur. It is so important to make a difference, a positive difference everyday. Everyone has it in them, you just have to let it out.
Thinking positive will make you cherish and realize how many small, simple things there are to appreciate in this World. Wouldn’t it be great if you would hear about the positive 90% instead of the negative 10%. Wouldn’t it be nice to hear how many lives a soldier saved today instead of a debate on reasons for a war. Wouldn’t it be nice to hear about the thousands of dollars a celebrity donated today instead of the latest Brittany episode. Wouldn’t be nice to see a politician actually speak in what they believe in, who they are, and how they can impact the country instead of bashing each other and running negative ads.
Thinking positive not only changes your outlook on life, it links you up with like minded people. Since I changed my thinking about a year and half ago, I have linked up with so many amazing people. The more people I link up with the more positive I think. The more positive I think, the more people I find. It is like living life in a positive zone. It lets me block out all the negative media and news and focus on what this World really offers, not what it doesn’t. It would be so amazing to have every television network, news paper, magazine, blog, e-zine, movie producer, and media outlet just go completely positive just for one week. I firmly believe that it would really change the World we live in.
I have been reading book by Bill Strickland, Make the Impossible Possible. Now Mr. Strickland really knows the impact of positive thinking. His book is amazing and one of the most inspiring books I have ever read. I will be doing a formal review in a few weeks, but with this article I just had to mention it. There is a great article on Bill Strickland at Pick the Brain with a video of him giving an inspiring speech. You can learn more about him and his mission at his web site and his learning center’s web site.
Another inspiring story that I recently found is about a grocery baggier that made the difference in hundreds of lives by simply writing inspiring messages and putting them in every customers bag. There are several inspiring videos at Simple Truths that you should really check out. I received The Simple Truths of Service in an email and have since visited the site often to what others. Every time I think about the grocery baggier, it is so inspiring to me to think that something so little can have such a profound impact on so many. It is so important to teach this to your children and show them how in your everyday life. Stay positive for them so they will grow up knowing the the World is a magnificent place and not doom and gloom at the media portrays.

“Positive thoughts produce positive lives” - amen to that Brad. And thanks for the links! Have a fantastic Friday and weekend!
[...] In the World today there are so many distractions and outlets to "brain candy" that it’s not hard to see why we have so many rotting brains. One of the largest pieces of "candy" out there to me is television. I have talked about all the negative media out in television land before, but it is not only negative it is about 90% useless. The vast majority of television programs are just so the public will put their minds on auto and not think. Think about the most popular television shows here in America: American Idle, Lost, Survivor, Big Brother, Law and Order, CSI, and the list goes on and on. All these shows are about, well pretty much about nothing. They don’t make you think, they don’t teach you anything, they promote gossip and in many cases bad habits, they are not appropriate for children, and they for sure do not perform a public service. Wouldn’t your time be better spent reading a good book? [...]
